Winter Solstice Activities

The winter solstice, also known as the solar solstice, the winter festival, and the Asian year, has two connotations of nature and humanity.

The winter solstice is one of the four o’clock and eight festivals. It is regarded as a big winter festival.
In ancient people, there was a saying that “winter solstice is as big as a year”.
There are differences in the content or details of the customs of the winter solstice due to different regions.
In southern China, there are customs of worshipping ancestors and feasting during the winter solstice.
In northern China, there is a custom of eating dumplings every winter solstice.
