Chlorosulfonated Polyethylene CSM rubber 30 in anti corrosion painting
Other name: CSM rubber 30, CSPE , Hypalon 30
CAS NO.: 68037 – 39 – 8
Equivalent type :Toso TS-340 CSM 4010
Property:
CSM rubber is made from polyethylene with a lower molecular weight.
Chlorosulfonated polyethylene has high performance such as resistance to most chemicals, temperature extremes, ultraviolet light, and oil.
Additional features include:
- Flame resistance
- Excellent color stability
- Weather and abrasion resistance
- Low moisture absorption
- Good dielectric qualities
- High abrasion resistance
Specification
Test Item | Target Values Range |
Volatile ( wt % less or equal ) | 1 |
Chlorine content ( wt % ) | 40-45 |
Sulfur content ( wt% ) | 0.8-1.2 |
Mooney viscosity ( ML 1+ 4 100 °C ) | 60-90 |
Application
Its higher chlorine content also makes it more soluble in common solvents. It has the lowest solution viscosity of any commercial CSM and can therefore be used at high soHds in solvent paints.
