Chemical Properties
Crosile® 570 is 3-Methacryloxy propyl trimethoxy silane. It is a methacrylfunctional silane that can be used as adhesion promoter, surface modifier, co-monomer for polymer synthesis and crosslinker.

3-Methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane Application
1. Fiber-Reinforced Composites

Acts as a coupling agent for glass fiber and mineral fillers (e.g., clay, quartz).

Significantly improves the mechanical strength and water resistance of thermoset resins like unsaturated polyester, epoxy, and acrylics.

Typical Products: Artificial stone (quartz surfaces), fiberglass panels, wind turbine blades.
2. Paints, Coatings & Adhesives

Added as a monomer or adhesion promoter to enhance bonding to inorganic substrates (glass, metal, minerals).

Increases wet adhesion, scrub resistance, and corrosion protection.
3. Wire & Cable (Rubber Insulation)

Used to treat fillers (e.g., calcined kaolin) in peroxide-cured elastomers (EPDM, silicone rubber).

Improves filler dispersion and enhances dielectric properties (insulation resistance).
4. Surface Treatment (Primers)

Applied as a primer on metal or glass surfaces to create a reactive layer for subsequent organic coatings.
