Crosile Hydro 8150 is an aqueous hydrolysate of 3-aminopropylsilane, presented as a colorless to pale yellow aqueous solution with a characteristic amine odor. This product demonstrates excellent miscibility with both water and alcohols. The solution contains approximately 40% active silane content in aqueous medium.

Application
Crosile Hydro 8150 is a versatile aqueous silane hydrolysate. It is widely used for surface modification of inorganic substrates and performance enhancement of polymer composites. This product works well with various inorganic materials, including glass and its derivatives (e.g., glass fibers, glass wool). It also treats mineral materials such as mineral wool, silicic acid, quartz, sand, cristobalite, wollastonite, and mica. Additionally, it is effective for aluminum hydroxide, kaolin, talc, and other silicate fillers. It also improves metal oxides and metal surfaces.
In polymer composites, Crosile Hydro 8150 is compatible with many resin systems. These include thermosetting resins like epoxy and polyurethane, engineering plastics such as polyamide (PA) and polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), and elastomers like ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) and polypropylene (PP). Its bifunctional structure forms strong chemical bonds with inorganic substrates through silanol groups. At the same time, its amino functional groups interact effectively with the polymer matrix. This enhances mechanical properties, such as flexural strength, tensile strength, and impact strength. It also improves environmental resistance, including moisture and corrosion resistance, and processing performance, such as adhesion and filler dispersion.
The product is non-flammable and emits no volatile organic compounds. Its hydrolysates are stable over the long term. It requires no special safety equipment in industrial applications, making it an eco-friendly and efficient material modifier.
