Application
Thiocyanatopropyltriethoxy silane As a rubber coupling agent: It is suitable for vulcanized rubber compounds and has multifunctional properties. It can serve as a reinforcing agent, coupling agent, and plasticizer during processing, significantly improving the physical and processing properties of fillers.
For hot vulcanizing adhesives: In a novel hot vulcanizing adhesive based on silane coupling agents, 3-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane can be used as one of the unmodified silane coupling agents in component b. Through a specific preparation method, during the hot vulcanization process, the -NCO groups and the alkoxy groups of the silane coupling agent react with the hydroxyl groups on the surface of the metal or ceramic substrate, resulting in good adhesion between the rubber and the substrate.
Composite materials field
Enhancing the performance of composite materials: In composite materials, 3-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane can be used for surface modification of fillers, improving the affinity and sealing properties between the fillers and the matrix, thereby enhancing other properties of the composite materials, such as wear resistance, aging resistance, kinetics, and adhesion.
